Hyundai's i20 has been showered with a whole lot of praise by customers and has been rolling off showroom floors ever since its launch

The mid-cycle facelift on the Hyundai Elite i20 is definitely a breath of fresh air.

Up-front, it sports larger, updated headlamps and cornering fog lamps

The front bumper design gets a few slats and creases, adding to a sporty look.

There are newly designed tail lamps and a re-shaped rear bumper as well

Also, the Hyundai Elite i20 new model features new alloy wheels

The Elite i20 is offered in four variants- Magna, Sportz + Sportz+ Dual Tone and Asta (O)

It comes equipped with bits like a beige-black two-tone cabin, a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment with Android Auto, Apple CarPlay and MirrorLink support

Safety kit consists of ABS, dual front airbags, curtain airbags, central locking, speed-sensing auto door locks and ISOFIX mounts.

On the inside, the standard of quality is very impressive; the plastic surfaces feel nice to touch, seem refined and pretty premium as well

The facelifted car gets a slightly more colourful interior with orange accents akin to the one available on the i20 Active, which was received very well by customers

The dashboard too gets orange accent pieces on the AC vents that helps add some colour to the cabin

Hyundai has upgraded the 7 inch touchscreen even further with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and a Mirror link setup.

The Hyundai Elite i20 is powered by a BS-VI compliant 1.2-litre four-cylinder petrol engine, which produces 82bhp and 115Nm of torque

It is paired to either a 5-speed manual gearbox as a standard fit

With the BS-VI update, Hyundai has discontinued the 1.4-litre diesel engine, which will not be upgraded to meet the latest emission standards

The 0 to 100 kmph mark is achieved within 16 seconds approximately.

Petrol powered variants are claime to return ARAI rated fuel economy of 18.6 km/l and diesel variants are tuned to deliver slightly more at 22.5 km/l.
